All three VPN types are supported on Android 4.0 or higher. The following instructions will help you create and use the VPN option of your choice. For more information on the VPN types, see VPN.

Using the IKEv2 Option on Android (preferred)
Setup the CAEDM IKEv2 VPN on Android
Open the Google Play app. Search for "strongSwan" Select "strongSwan VPN Client", and select "Install" Open the newly installed strongSwan app Select "ADD VPN PROFILE" Enter the following information:
Profile Name: CAEDM IKEv2 VPN Gateway: vpn.et.byu.edu Type: (Select "IKEv2 EAP (Username/Password") Username: (enter your CAEDM username) Password: (enter your CAEDM password) CA certificate: (check mark "Select automatically")
Select "SAVE"
Connecting to the CAEDM IKEv2 VPN on Android:
Open the strongSwan app Select the CAEDM IKEv2 VPN connection NOTE: You may be prompted to allow strongSwan to intercept network traffic. To continue, select "I trust this application" and select "OK"
You are now connected to the CAEDM IKEv2 VPN.
Disconnecting from the CAEDM IKEv2 VPN on Android:
Open the strongSwan app Select "Disconnect"
You are now disconnected from the CAEDM IKEv2 VPN.
Using the SSL VPN Option on Android
Setup the CAEDM SSL VPN on Android
Using your web browser, go to https://vpn.et.byu.edu
NOTE: If you get an orange login screen, then you have entered the wrong address and you will not be able to login. Try again with the exact address listed above.
In the blue Please login box, enter your username and password Click Login In the FortiClient Download box, click FortiClient Mac
NOTE: You can alternatively download the FortiClient for Mac from https://www.forticlient.com.

Using the Clientless SSL VPN Option on Android
Go to https://vpn.et.byu.edu with you browser of choice.
